I started riding horses as soon as I could walk. I started taking pictures as soon as I could pick up a camera. After a non-horse related accident in 1985 which left me partially paralyzed and in a great deal of pain, I bought my first 35mm camera and started taking pictures as a form a physical therapy. At first it was only my own horses, then the horses at the boarding stable where I moved my horses, then horse shows. About 18 years ago I went to my first Renaissance Festival and fell in love with the characters and the people who played them.
For almost 20 years I have worked 2 full time jobs to pay off my bills, now I am working a 40 hour week and I am picking up the camera again for fun and for profit.
I invite you to browse through a sample of my extensive collection of photographs. Some of the photos are as recent as this year, and some others hold special memories from earlier years. Each photograph tells a story. Just like the story of a gray horse that I photographed many years ago - you'll find it in the "farm life" gallery - lived to be 35 years old, and had been through many different owners and circumstances, but made it through to that advanced age.
I am available to provide photography services for events or just to capture a photo of a treasured companion animal or friend. If you are interested in a quote, please fill out my convenient on-line form, and I will contact you for further information.
